Great campground! Well treed, clean sites. Nice, clean bathrooms. Lots to do.
The owners don't discriminate against large families, they discriminate against rude people. That is why the family with 6 kids was asked to leave. There is a charge for extra people per site, but if you had been nicer, they wouldn't have charged you. Instead you were rude so they asked you to leave. They don't need business from people like you. And stop getting all your friends to post bad reviews. They haven't even been to this campsite, nor were they there when this incident took place.

DO NOT STAY at the Handhills High Country Hideaway! We were booked into the Handhills High Country Hideaway in Drumheller this weekend with our brother and sister-in-laws family. We had two sites reserved and our brother's family was refused entry because they have six children. This was just downright discrimination. When asked where they post their rates on extra children or even the policy in any of their literature the women was VERY rude and said she did not have to disclose extra rates and the site charge is only for a normal family (2 adults, 2 children) and not an "obscene" family.
A family is a family no matter the size, if you have one kid or six!!
We recommend you stay away from Handhills High Country Hideaway if not for the discrimination then for their complete and utter rudeness towards other human beings.
